When your Monitor or TV set is turned off, it produces a powerful negative electrostatic charge (-), somewhere around 30,000 Volts, pulling ambient dust from the air directly towards the glass (so now you know why your screen gets dusty). The ClearView, installs in about 5 minutes! The system consist of a patented static collection unit containing a custom LCD ( liquid crystal display) and an advanced "hardened" static overload / resistive circuit. This unit can be placed on, by or even behind the TV/Monitor. Two cables exit the back of the device. Cable one is terminated in a ring terminal that must be attached to a reliable ground. Simply slip the ring terminal over the third (male) prong of a three prong power cord or attach to the center screw of a electrical face plate cover. Cable Two terminates in a discreet, black conductive vinyl static pickup measuring approximately .500 x 4.00 x .062 and backed with a peel and stick adhesive. Simply remove the liner (cover) from the adhesive and place the pickup in a discreet location on the front or side of the TV/Monitor (as close as possible to the glass). Spray the pickup, glass and casing of the TV/Monitor with the supplied conductive solution and polish the glass with the supplied lint free towel (does not require re-application for months).
